Arkadia Shopping Centre

Project characteristics:

Warsaw’s Arkadia is one of the largest shopping centres in Poland and it is visited annually by nearly 20 million people. Arkadia is characterised with friendly architecture: glazed roofs, spacious passages, elaborate mosaic patterns, and the use of natural stone and glass. To maintain the consistent character of the area, the project required a number of individual solutions that were compatible with the whole structure.

The functionality and utility of the entire solution

For the purpose of the designed space, glass-covered fire protection swing doors were designed. This product is a perfect solution in places where it is not possible to determine the direction of evacuation. It is also not necessary to use the door frame in this product. The door leaf can be installed directly on the wall or ceiling. In addition, it does not require a system of closers, as the automatic return to the closed position is obtained by gravity thanks to the innovative solutions used in the hinge system. The possibility of covering the doors with various types of materials allows the integration of the product into almost any space, while retaining its unique character. The solution is patented.
