MAŁKOWSKI-MARTECH S.A. - Sharing Vision of Safety

Last week, during the International Building and Architecture Fair BUDMA 2024, we had the opportunity to actively participate in a conference organized by the Association of Fire Engineers and Technicians (SITP). It was two days filled with intense discussions, interesting lectures, and presentations that provided us with countless amounts of new knowledge in the field of fire safety. The event attracted 350 participants, including specialists, experts, designers, contractors, engineers, architects, firefighters, fire safety inspectors, academics, insurers, and representatives of companies involved in fire safety of building facilities.

Our expert, Dr Eng. Zenon Małkowski, had a lecture about “Unconventional Solutions for Fire Protection Closures Used in Building Facilities.” The presentation garnered significant interest and sparked numerous discussions. Participants had the opportunity to learn about innovative and unique solutions, including:

• Evacuation tunnel in Warsaw Spire,
• Roll-up gate for the Kozienice Power Plant MARC-K EW 120,
• Fire protection closure for the transformer block of the Kozienice Power Plant,
• Horizontal gate for the waste incineration plant in Gdańsk/Warsaw MARC-PO EI 120.

The conference was organized by the Association of Fire Engineers and Technicians of the Greater Poland Branch, the Institute of Structural Analysis at the Poznań University of Technology, and the Institute of Building at the Poznań University of Technology.

The III Conference on Fire Safety of Building Facilities was an extremely successful event, which undoubtedly contributed to raising awareness and developing the competencies of all participants. We are delighted to have been part of this exceptional meeting and eagerly await the next edition.
